Introduction
Designed by McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) and Northrop, the F/A-18 has served the U.S. Navy Blue Angels since 1986 — longer than any other aircraft flown by the famous flight demonstration team. F/A-18s flown by the Blue Angels are nearly the same as those used by the Navy and Marine Corps as both fighters and attack platforms. The weapons are removed, a smoke-oil tank is installed, and the control stick spring system is adjusted to offer more precise control. The E-flite® F-18 Blue Angels 80mm EDF provides an exceptional flying experience highlighted by an abundance of Extra Scale details and functional features including LED lights, full-flying stabs, operational flaps and more, while also being factory-finished to pay tribute to the iconic demo team.

Overview
The E-flite® F-18 Blue Angels 80mm EDF has the size, scale details, functional features and performance to provide an unmatched flying experience. An abundance of Extra Scale details, including molded-in panel lines and hatches, removable ordnance and drop tanks, a pilot figure and more, take the realistic appearance to another level. Functional Extra Scale features include LED navigation lights, full-flying stabs and operational flaps, plus retracts and sequenced gear doors. It's also equipped with the most scale-like landing gear of any F-18 EDF model yet, and the shock-absorbing, trailing-link struts are painted white for even more authenticity. There are ten factory-installed metal-geared servos in both versions, and you can install the compatible receiver and an 80mm EDF power system — from another similar class model or using other compatible components — of your choice in the ARF Plus version. Or, the BNF Basic version comes factory-equipped with a Spektrum™ receiver that includes exclusive AS3X® and optional-use SAFE® Select technologies, along with a V2 12-blade 80mm fan, high-RPM brushless inrunner motor and 100A ESC to deliver fantastic performance with 6S 4000–7000mAh LiPo batteries. This power system also provides better performance and longer flight times than the 6S-compatible power systems used in larger models — plus it offers a turbine-like sound! Constructed of durable, fully-molded EPO material, no glue is required for assembly and it can be ready to fly in less time than other similar class models.
Exclusive Technologies
This is the first high-performance F-18 Blue Angels model equipped with exclusive Spektrum™ AS3X® and SAFE® Select technologies. AS3X works behind the scenes to smooth out the effects of wind and turbulence to deliver a locked-in feel that makes it seem like you're flying a much larger airplane. Optional-use SAFE Select offers pitch and bank angle limits along with automatic self-leveling that can be turned on and off at the flip of a switch, making this an easier to fly F-18 Blue Angels model than there's ever been before! And if you don't want to enable the SAFE Select features, simply bind the receiver normally and only AS3X will be active.
High-Performance EDF
The V2 12-blade 80mm fan, high-RPM brushless inrunner motor and 100-amp ESC combine with your 6S 4000–7000mAh 30+C LiPo battery to deliver great vertical performance and a fantastic speed range with virtually instantaneous throttle response. This power system also delivers better performance and longer flight times than the 6S-compatible power systems used in larger models. But what makes the experience truly rewarding is the fantastic sound it produces — it's almost like a real turbine.
Extra Scale Details
The F-18 Blue Angels 80mm EDF features an accurate outline and an abundance of Extra Scale details including molded-in panel lines and hatches, painted landing gear, removable ordnance and drop tanks – more details than you typically find on similar class and smaller models.

Factory-installed LED lights, full-flying stabs, operational flaps and control surfaces with pocket hinges – even main gear and sequenced nose gear doors – are functional Extra Scale features that take your experience to another level.

Unfortunately Saturday delivery is no longer available at RC Hobbies.
Delivery
Once RC Hobbies has confirmed acceptance of the buyer's order, we will endeavor to dispatch the buyer's order within
1-3 Business days unless a different time frame is specified in relation to a particular product. If we are unable to dispatch
the buyer's order within the time frame specified by RC Hobbies we will endeavor to contact the buyer and advise
the buyer of the expected dispatch date.
In stock items are generally dispatched on the same day you place your order, unless a different time frame is specified
in relation to a particular product and provided the order was placed before our daily cut off time which is usually
around 1PM.
We use NZ Post, Aramex, and Post Haste for New Zealand orders. Deliveries are usually 2 working days, but please allow an extra
day for big parcels to reach the South Island and for rural deliveries.
We use NZ Post for orders that can fit into overnight courier bags and Post Haste for larger parcels.
Tracking emails will be sent out once parcels have been collected.
The buyer may specify delivery instructions for an order (for example, the buyer may authorise the delivery agent to
leave the products in a specified location if the buyer will not be at the delivery address). RC Hobbies will
not be responsible for any order that is delivered in accordance with the buyer’s delivery instructions.

Returns Policy
The item I received is not the item I ordered
Provided the item is unopened and in mint condition we’ll replace the item. To receive your replacement you must return the
original item to. You will be provided with a no-cost return addressed courier satchel (or similar)
and we will process your replacement within 1–3 days of receiving your item.
The item I ordered arrived faulty.
Please arrange with RC Hobbies to return the item for testing. If we confirm that the item was damaged before leaving
RC Hobbies, or was faulty out of the box, your item will be repaired or if it cannot be repaired then it will be replaced
by RC Hobbies Ltd free of charge. If the goods are faulty we will meet our obligations under the Consumers Guarantees
Act to provide a remedy.
The item I ordered did not arrive
If your item did not arrive the first thing to do is request a “track and trace” on your item from the Courier Post or Fastway
tracking emails we send out.

or stolen after being delivered to your property. If you are concerned about leaving your items unattended we recommend
using “Signature Required” option which is our default option unless advise by the Buyer to use the “No Signature Required”

I've changed my mind and no longer want the item I ordered
Change of mind returns can be processed as long as it has been agreed by RC Hobbies and the item has been returned
within 7 days of dispatch and is unopened and in mint condition. The shipping for the return will also be at the cost
of the buyer. Once we have the item in hand we will assess the item and if everything checks out OK you will receive
a Store Credit or refund less the restock fee and freight charges.
Restock fee
All goods ordered in error by the Customer or goods the Customer wishes to return are subject to a restock fee. The fee is
15% of the goods sales value. This applies if you change your mind, ordered it in error, unwanted Gift or just did not
